On February 21st 2026 Jerry F Robinson was struck by a car and killed while crossing Antioch pike at the crosswalk by the Woodbine Fresh Market. Metro Police have published a photo showing that the car entered the painted median at the crosswalk. The driver fled the scene.
We are resolved to take action to make this street safer. Our goal is to prevent injuries at this intersection. We support tactical urbanism efforts at this location such as installing flexible posts to create a pedestrian island.

Our application to NDOT’s Tactical Urbanism Program has been approved, and a lane closure permit has been issued. We are still waiting on NDOT to provide traffic control so that we can safely install the proposed changes. If NDOT can provide traffic control we’ll be installing on Friday morning. Please send me an email if you’d like to be involved in the installation. This could include taking photos, helping paint, and installing delineators.
